How the Corporate Group and Licence Accounts Fit Together
The company formerly named 888 Holdings adopted the evoke plc name in 2024. Its corporate history records the William Hill acquisition in July 2022. These are group relationships; they do not establish one common licence, login or set of casino terms across all brands.

Why 888 Bingo and 888 Ladies Are Different
On 7 July 2022, 888 announced completion of the sale of its entire B2C and B2B bingo business to a Broadway Gaming group company. The familiar 888 branding therefore does not make those bingo sites current 888 UK casino products.
The UKGC currently lists 888bingo.com and 888ladies.com as Active on Broadway Gaming Ireland DF Limited’s domain register. Our Broadway Gaming guide explains that group’s two licensed entities and the distinction between active, white-label and inactive domains.
evoke’s Brands and Their British Operators
The parent group’s name and the company on a gambling contract answer different questions. The current examples below use the UKGC’s exact-domain records, checked on 10 September 2026. The same brand can have another licensed operator in another country.

Mr Green is a particularly important distinction. evoke still lists the brand in its corporate portfolio, but the current British website appears under Blue Rock Managed Services. Mr Green Limited’s older British licence records surrendered casino and bingo permissions ending on 28 October 2024. A historical Mr Green licence number should therefore not be copied into a current UK operator description.
The corporate portfolio also includes Winner, which evoke describes as a Romanian-licensed betting and casino brand. It belongs in the group’s international history, rather than being added to a list of British casino alternatives simply because the parent company is the same.
How the Group Developed
- 1997: the casino business began as Casino-on-Net, according to evoke’s corporate history.
- January 2019: William Hill acquired Mr Green & Co, bringing that brand into the William Hill business before the later 888 transaction.
- 1 July 2022: 888 completed its acquisition of William Hill’s international, non-US business. The US business was not part of that acquisition.
- July 2022: the separate bingo sale moved the B2C bingo and Dragonfish B2B operations to Broadway.
- 13 May 2024: the parent became evoke plc. The rebrand announcement expressly kept the existing consumer brand names.
- October 2024: the Winner.ro acquisition completed, as reported in evoke’s third-quarter trading update, expanding the group’s Romanian business.
The Proposed Bally’s Intralot Acquisition
On 5 June 2026, evoke and Bally’s Intralot agreed the terms of a proposed all-share acquisition. Their 17 August shareholder-meeting announcement confirms that the required shareholder votes passed. It still made the transaction subject to remaining conditions and court sanction, with effectiveness expected in the final quarter of 2026 or first quarter of 2027.
At this review date, that is an approved proposal with completion still conditional in the cited announcement. It is not evidence that all Bally’s and evoke consumer brands already share accounts, operators or promotions. A future completed corporate transaction would also need to be distinguished from any separate changes to customer contracts.

Did the evoke rename close 888casino?
No. The May 2024 announcement changed the parent-company identity and said the consumer brands would keep their names. A corporate rename is different from a casino closure.
Are William Hill and 888 the same licensed operator?
The current British records place www.williamhill.com under WHG (International) Limited and the main 888 casino, poker and sports domains under 888 UK Limited. Their group relationship does not make those legal entities interchangeable.
Does an evoke connection make Mr Green a direct 888 UK sister?
It establishes a wider corporate-brand connection, not the same current British operating contract. Mr Green’s .co.uk domain is a White Label entry under Blue Rock Managed Services, while the main 888 products use 888 UK Limited.
What a Group Connection Means for Your Account
A parent-company relationship is useful for understanding the family tree, but account access, balances, bonuses and withdrawal rules are contractual questions. Do not assume that an 888 login works at William Hill, Mr Green or a Broadway bingo site, or that one brand’s offer applies at another. Compare the operator, country-specific domain and terms before registering.
