The brand is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission under Tote (Successor Company) Limited (account 3062), which sits inside the modern UK Tote Group alongside TDCO Limited (account 54779), the entity that now trades the group’s pool betting and casino products under the Tote name at tote.co.uk. In practice, totesport.com itself now redirects straight to tote.co.uk, so Totesport has effectively been folded into its one genuine stablemate rather than being run as a separate live product.
You may see Totesport listed alongside Betfred, Oddsking, Totepool, Betchan, BetAmo or Betzerk on other comparison sites. We checked the UK Gambling Commission’s own register before publishing this page and none of that holds up: Betfred and Oddsking are both licensed to Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited, the company that briefly owned the Tote between 2011 and 2019 but sold it on to UK Tote Group; Betchan, BetAmo and Betzerk are unrelated Curaçao-licensed brands run by N1 Interactive with no shared ownership at all. The Tote business itself, including the Totesport-branded online product, was then sold on again in October 2019 to UK Tote Group, a consortium of racing industry investors, for roughly £115m. Since that sale the online product has traded increasingly under the plain “Tote” name rather than Totesport, and today totesport.com simply redirects visitors to tote.co.uk.
That means anyone looking for “Totesport” today is really looking for Tote. The current operator, working under both Tote (Successor Company) Limited and TDCO Limited on the same UK Gambling Commission framework, has kept the brand’s pool-betting speciality (where your stake goes into a shared pool and the payout depends on the final dividend rather than fixed odds set in advance) while adding a modern sportsbook and a casino section with slots, live dealer tables and instant-win games sitting alongside the racing product.
